Organic Virgin Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil

Made from fresh organic coconuts and minimally processed, this oil is a cornerstone of our recipe. It helps create a rich, bubbly lather and contributes to a hard, long-lasting bar. We choose virgin, cold-pressed coconut oil because it retains its natural character and quality.

Grass-Fed & Finished Beef Tallow

A time-tested ingredient that has been used in soap making for generations. Tallow helps create a firm, durable bar with a creamy lather. We use tallow sourced from cattle that are grass-fed and grass-finished because quality ingredients matter. Contains Vitamins A, D & K, surviving saponification and providing skin benefits in the finished bar.

Organic Castor Oil

Organic, cold pressed, hexane free, unbleached. A small amount of castor oil goes a long way. It helps support a dense, creamy lather and contributes to the overall feel of the soap. We use organic castor oil to complement the rest of our carefully balanced formula on some bars.

Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Organic extra virgin olive oil has been used in traditional soap making for centuries. It helps create a mild, creamy lather and contributes to a smooth, gentle cleansing experience. Rich in naturally occurring fatty acids, it's a staple ingredient in quality handcrafted soap. Contains Vitamin E in abundance, a potent antioxidant that survives saponification and remains in the finished bar, known to protect the skin barrier.

Organic Raw Honey

Organic raw honey adds a touch of luxury and warmth to handmade soap. It helps boost lather, contributes to a smooth feel, and is packed with naturally occurring compounds found in real honey. We love it because it's a simple, recognizable ingredient that has been valued for generations.

Organic Fair-Trade Cacao Powder

Organic fair-trade cacao powder gives our soap its rich, earthy color naturally. Cacao is also naturally rich in antioxidants and minerals, including magnesium, iron, zinc, potassium, and calcium—which are completely unaffected by chemical saponification. 

We use it because it's a simple, recognizable ingredient that helps us create handcrafted soap without artificial colors or synthetic additives and is one of the only additives whos scent survives saponification. 

Organic Colloidal Oats

Made from finely ground organic oats, colloidal oats are a time-tested ingredient used in many personal care products. In soap, they provide gentle exfoliation and help create a rich, creamy lather. They leave the bar feeling smooth while adding a naturally rustic character.

Organic, Raw, Unrefined African Shea Butter

Harvested from the nuts of the African shea tree in Ghana, this traditional ingredient has been valued for centuries. We use raw, unrefined shea butter because it retains its natural color and character. It adds richness to our bars and complements the other oils and fats in the recipe. Contains vitamins E & A, surviving saponification to remain in the finished bar and are known to protect the skin barrier, promote skin healing and promote elasticity.

Food-Grade Sodium Hydroxide(Lye)

Every true bar of soap requires an alkali to transform oils and fats into soap through a process called saponification. We use food-grade sodium hydroxide for this purpose. When the soap-making process is complete, no sodium hydroxide remains in the finished bar.

French Green Clay

This naturally occurring mineral clay is known for its distinctive earthy green color. It gives our soap a rugged appearance and adds a smooth, silky feel to the finished bar.

Mediterranean Red Clay Powder

Sourced from naturally occurring clay deposits, this mineral-rich clay provides a warm reddish color and contributes to the unique look and character of our soap.

Activated Charcoal Derived from Coconut

Made from coconut shells, this finely milled charcoal provides a deep, magnet-like cleanse, binding to and drawing out excess oils, dirt, and impurities from your pores. It gives our soap its bold black color and signature appearance. 

Kaolin Clay

Enhances lathers creaminess and helps when combined with activated charcoal as a mild oil absorber.
